Murrieta Family Photographer ~ Danielle {8th Grade}

I have been doing several 8th grade - teen style shoots lately...and I really have enjoyed them. Not quite the Senior Style sessions...which is good...because the kiddos that have done sessions with me are still that - KIDDOS! With these sessions, I like to bring out their fun, real personalities. I ask them to bring something with them, that is really them and that they want to remember as being a part of their life. Danielle {Gibby as her friends call her} is an amazing girl! She is an all around athlete...but don't let the serious softball chick expression fool you! She is all girl and a bundle of fun! Before entering high school, she already secured a spot on the varsity softball team going into her freshman year...{I hear there are a few colleges also quite interested in where she will attend in about 4 years as well!} Gibby, her mom and I had a wonderful afternoon capturing the fun and silly side as well as the girlie and athlete sides to this beautiful young lady. I loved everything about this session with my friend Donna and her family down at the beach near Oceanside. The colors she chose were fabulous! The different shades of Teal/Green/Blue really popped against the white and sand.

It was so nice to wake up this morning to find that my session with our sweet Kira had been featured on Modern Teen Style It was such a wonderful school session and the lighting was just amazing that I'm glad they saw that too! I know she will be super excited to see her pictures on their website! We are all living in her dream of her year abroad!

Murrieta / Temecula Family Photographer ~ Wilson {Family}

I just love the Wilson's! One of my favorite families! I met Laura when we moved to Murrieta a few years back. We worked together with the Young Women at church. Moving for me always meant reinventing your business (before Facebook and Social Media helped with marketing!)...building a clientele and it was getting to be that time of year when everyone wanted family pictures. Laura asked if I would do their family and if I minded doing a beach session. Well I had just moved from Orange County so that was what I was used to!!! Every year since that time...I have done family pictures for them and I'm so glad that I have these wonderful friends in my life! I was sad when at the beginning of the year they had to move out of state to Utah. I thought I wouldn't see them for some time...but I am so glad that twice in the past couple months I have been able to meet up with them. They were so awesome to come down to see Korey off right before his mission and then again to do pictures while they were visiting Murrieta...I can't believe how quickly time passes and the kids are growing up! It was bitter sweet with Alex gone on his mission...but I popped a picture in the collage of him from the mission field! Enjoy just a few of my favorites for now...

This was such a fun little shoot...Julie's mom and dad are our very dear friends...I have known Julie since the day she was born! It's hard to see kids grow up but it's amazing how wonderful they are! Julie is no exception to this. She is a wonderful young woman and in her senior year of high school. She has this "special friend" lol...Keegan who will be leaving soon for his 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will be serving in Columbia. I was so excited when Julie asked if I could just take a picture of the two of them together. Of course I said yes...and one picture WHAT?!?! I gave her a list of props to bring and we did a little mini session for her and her boy! Please enjoy all the cuteness...

My nephew and his gorgeous little family...oh how I love them and love that I get to see them and take pictures of them...did I say that I love them???? Well I do! I'm so very proud of them and all that they are doing with their life. Both of them are a sweet example of love and family! Can't believe my babies are growing up so fast!

What a fun shoot this was...first of all...mom, Kim is one of the sweetest, most loving women I have ever met. We have worked/served together in church callings and I have seen first hand her dedication to her family and others. The rest of the family is just as awesome! The boys have both served two year missions and are attending college. And the girls are so sweet (don't let that fool you though - get them on a soccer field and they will mow you down! haha) and loving. I have had the pleasure of being in Young Women to work with them there. Oh and there's Mike...what a knowledgeable scriptorian! (not sure that's a word...haha) He is one of my all time Sunday School teachers...So glad that we were able to get together for a family session...here are a few of my favs.

What a sweet girl Shayna is...and I'm so excited that she will be going on a mission! She got her call to the South Carolina Columbia Mission and will be leaving in a couple months. We got together before she heads back to school to take a few fun pre-mission pictures. She is going to make an amazing missionary. Can't wait to hear all of the wonderful experiences she will have. It is a real pleasure to take family pictures year after year of the same families...for two reasons; one, it means that they like the service that I offer to them and two, I get to see the family grow through the years. Heather and Matt's family came to have their pictures taken last fall. They are such a great family! And fun too! It was such an honor to be able to do their extended family pictures recently which included Matt's mom and dad, and his sister and her family. Here are just a few of the favorites from that day. They are such a great family and I look forward to the next time I get to see them.

It was bitter sweet to do pictures for the Paisley's...their son Aaron and my son Logan have been friends for many years. I have seen them grow and it's a mommy sadness to allow those kids to grow up and go away to college. Just days after this session...Aaron was off for his freshman year at ASU in Arizona... They are a beautiful family and I was so happy to get to spend just a little time with them...enjoy

San Diego Family photographer ~ Strapac {family}

It's funny how things come about...this is Danielle and her beautiful family. About 6 months ago or so we found each other again through this little thing called Facebook. You see, her mother and my mother have been friends since they were little girls...It's funny, but when we were little we really thought that we were cousins. Her mom after all was my Aunt Thelma! haha Over the years we kinda lost touch...getting married, moving away, raising children...you get the picture. (no pun intended...well maybe a little) Anyway, fast forward a few years and about 6 months ago I had posted a picture of my sister, my mom and my grandma on Facebook and Danielle had seen it. So she sent me a message asking about photography and about my family, etc. She told me about this little venture she had going making these cute custom teepees. She asked if I'd like to use one as a prop for pictures sometime (uh ya!)...I had been wanting to make one and now I could have one done way better than I could have ever done it and get to see Danielle! How awesome is that!? We talked a bit about her needing to do some marketing on some different sites to get her beautiful teepees out there, and now the rest is history. I'm so glad I can say I knew her "when" lol...anyway, I'm just grateful that this whole thing brought us back together. I got the opportunity to spend a little time with her and her hubby and kiddos at their home taking some great pictures of their cute family! I am feeling mighty old...especially when you've have known a young person since they were like 6 and now here they are all grown up and graduating high school. Beautiful Miss Jorden has gone and grown up on me! What an amazing young woman...and I love that she is still involved in soccer, which is where we met her and her family over 11 years ago!
