so today I am using pictures of my husband.
He turned 40 last week and we will be celebrating our 19th anniversary this year.
I love him very much and am so very blessed to have him in my life...
I am posting one of our wedding pictures for the BEFORE picture, that I love, but we got married back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth ~ and before digital so the only pic I have that isn't in our album was a cruddy scan of it {sorry}
But then the AFTER picture is a great shot of my hunny on his 40th birthday ~ I love his eyes...they are so blue ~ I think the first thing I fell in love with about him!
so today...is for my sweet husband...he is the source of my joy and love

joy of love ~ {day 2}
So Logan is really sick 8(
He hasn't been this sick in a while! Poor baby...
He might look like a big tall man normally, but really my shaggy, blonde hair boy is only 15...and when he's sick, it's like he's 3 again!
He's been sleeping most of the past two days to try to shake whatever this bug is he has...I told him he could have a change of venue and come out to the livingroom on the couch...wasn't there but two minutes and he was out. So for today, again, he is the subject of my joy of love...today reminded me that no matter how old my boys get, they will always be my babies! I used to sit and watch my boys sleep when they were little...they looked so innocent and angelic...lol and I needed those moments of peace and quiet to remind myself how precious they were ~ having 4 boys sometimes amongst the chaos of the day you forget...
Here is today's submission...it's of Logan
The light from our side window was very soft and hit his face perfectly...f4.8 shutterspeed 1/500th ISO 800 with no flash. In low light areas it's best to steady yourself/camera on a tripod, monopod or lean your arm on something to hold you still. I rested my arm on the couch to get the angle that I wanted.
I hope my baby gets better soon...he's even missing his soccer game today, which really tells you how bad he's feeling.

joy of love ~ {day 1}
ok...I have been so busy taking pictures of everyone else's families, I have negelected my own...
my boys may argue otherwise...they do refer to me as their person stalk-a-ratzie!
but I am generally taking pictures at sporting events, school events, etc
not the everyday stuff.
Besides being a photographer I am an avid scrapbooker {and have been know in the past to do a class or two & design work} but even that has fallen by the wayside since business in my photography business has picked up...not complaining...
so I found a class of sorts online from one of my favorite photog websites: {willette} and she has put together for the month of february a class/challenge where she sends daily assignments to photograph someone you love doing something that is outlined in the daily email from her...
today was the first day, and here is my first submission...
#3 boy...Logan, has been a sickie poo the past day and a half, and thus banished to his bed for rest and recovery...but sick or not, the boy texts his throng of girls
So our assignment for today was to photograph someone we love doing something that they "DO" ~ well, Logan texts! ALL THE TIME!
The room was pretty much pitch black except for the light from his phone.
the settings I used: f/3.8 shutterspeed 1/200th and I amped the ISO to 2500 ~ didn't use the flash...and the room was DARK! I love the "catch light" of sorts in his glasses from his phone LOL! The only editing I did was to clear up a little acne and turned it to black and white...
So...here is my {LOVE} Logan...doing what he "does" ~ texting
