Alyssa's Senior Pictures

Alyssa's mom and I have been friends for many years...
Long before Alyssa and her brothers & my boys ever came along...
She was my matron of honor at my wedding :)
and one of my BFF's
Just as I'm dumbfounded at the fact that my baby is graduating...I am still amazed at how grown-up and beautiful (inside & out) Alyssa is!
I enjoyed spending time with Sue and Alyssa...taking some pictures...having lunch...taking some more pictures...and then going home where we looked at the pictures right away cuz she was soooooo excited to see them!
I enjoyed her excitement as she looked at all of the images...like a little kid on Christmas morning...
She had lots and lots that were her favorites... which made me happy that she loved them!
Here are just a few of our afternoon...

Jerry's Senior Pictures

We met Jerry and his parents four years ago when Mikey and Jerry were on the freshman football team together...
I'm so glad that the Walden's asked me to do Jerry's senior pictures...It's so hard seeing all these kids grow up...but exciting in the same respect listening to all their plans for their futures...
Good Luck and Congrats to Jerry and the Walden family :)

Mayo - VanHulzen's - 50 golden years!

So often we hear of people divorcing...
Sad really ~ even the govenator and his wife after 25 years 8( are calling it quits!
It's days like today that I LOVE!
I got to celebrate not only one couple's 50th wedding anniversary, but two!
And two couples are the parents of two of the sweetest people I know...our good friends Dave & Cindy :) who themselves have been married for 25 years! With great examples for parents...I wouldn't expect any less for them!
I was so grateful and blessed to be able to spend a few hours with Jerry & Cheryl Mayo {celebrated their 50th a few months back} and Bert & Ina VanHulzen {celebrating their 50th this coming Saturday} <3
Here is a sneek peek of our time together...

again...so thankful to have spent some time with these amazing couples...

Kid's Boy Scout Camp & Girl's Camp Fundraiser

So as most of you know...
I have 4 teenage boys ~ 3 of which really wanting to go to Boy Scout Camp this summer.
My BFF, Julie who is also my photography assistant and the other part of my brain ~ has 2 girls who would like to attend Girl's Camp through our church...
In order to do so, we need to raise all the money ourselves ~ normally the youth groups/scouts help by doing fundraisers, but not this year 8(
I have offered Fundraisers for school youth groups in the past and we have raised LOTS of money to help these groups...so now I find it necessary to hold a fundraiser in order to pay for the kids to go to camp.
I am normally a natual lite, outdoor photographer, but I do have a studio in my home and this is where we will be doing the studio sittings for this fundraiser...
****************
ONE DAY ONLY: Saturday, June 4th from 2pm to 9pm
For just $25, we are offering a 10 minute, professional studio sitting.
From your sitting you can choose 3 files that will be emailed to you. (You will be able to see all of the pictures taken during your session on a proofing gallery and the 3 files you choose will be edited and then emailed to you.)
These files can be printed up to 4x6 prints on your own and are perfect for holiday cards, announcements, etc. (Enlargements can be purchased seperately - I will have info if you are interested)
100% of the funds will benefit the kids and send them to camp this summer.
There are a limited spots available...so don't delay...call and schedule your family photo today! (951) 219-4026
Please share this with family and friends...
Korey, Logan, Trevor, Holly and Sarah appreciate your help!!!

Goldfield Arizona Ghost Town

So my mom graduated from college with her AA (pictures to follow in another post) and we decided on Sunday afternoon to look around a bit. My mom told us about this great little ghost town not too far from her house...
Wow! It was so much fun...well for me at least
I had to bribe the boys with ice cream if they'd cooperate and let me take pictures without complaint...haha
They still complained, but at least I was able to take a few pictures in between the "aw com'on mom" and "really don't you have enough pictures already" haha...

Austin Smith

A couple weeks ago...I took senior pictures for this young man's older brother
Mom loved them so much that she wanted pictures of her younger son...
the nice thing is I know Austin ~ he and Logan have been friend's for about 5 years...funny thing is it didn't help him hate the fact that he was getting his picture taken! haha
After a bit he started loosening up a little...
You know when I have a restless 4 or 5 year old I find that by showing them an image of themselves on the camera screen calms them down...maybe it's because little kids are a little narsasistic...who knew teenagers were the same!?! LOL
I think Austin was surprised that the pictures actually looked pretty good...more than pretty good I say...
So, here's a sneek peek of Austin's shoot and his beautiful blue eyes!

Prom 2011

Have to take a minute to show off prom pictures of my big boy and his beautiful date.
They looked awesome and had such a great time.
All these milestones are really hard on a momma! sniff sniff

Williams Family

Lynette and I met when our boys were little...and played on the same baseball team.
We quickly found out that we had lots more in common than just our boys.
Our love of family and scrapbooking made for many days spent in classes, crops and cruises together!
I was so happy she asked me to take her family pictures this past week.
Her older son was on leave from the Army just before being deployed and it was very important to have pictures taken for them...
It was an amazing day down at the beach...blue skies and the water was so beautiful...lots of shades of blue.
so...here's a little sneek peek of my sweet friend and her family
