I loved everything about this session with my friend Donna and her family down at the beach near Oceanside. The colors she chose were fabulous! The different shades of Teal/Green/Blue really popped against the white and sand.

It's funny how things come about...this is Danielle and her beautiful family. About 6 months ago or so we found each other again through this little thing called Facebook. You see, her mother and my mother have been friends since they were little girls...It's funny, but when we were little we really thought that we were cousins. Her mom after all was my Aunt Thelma! haha Over the years we kinda lost touch...getting married, moving away, raising children...you get the picture. (no pun intended...well maybe a little) Anyway, fast forward a few years and about 6 months ago I had posted a picture of my sister, my mom and my grandma on Facebook and Danielle had seen it. So she sent me a message asking about photography and about my family, etc. She told me about this little venture she had going making these cute custom teepees. She asked if I'd like to use one as a prop for pictures sometime (uh ya!)...I had been wanting to make one and now I could have one done way better than I could have ever done it and get to see Danielle! How awesome is that!? We talked a bit about her needing to do some marketing on some different sites to get her beautiful teepees out there, and now the rest is history. I'm so glad I can say I knew her "when" lol...anyway, I'm just grateful that this whole thing brought us back together. I got the opportunity to spend a little time with her and her hubby and kiddos at their home taking some great pictures of their cute family! San Diego Wedding Photographer ~ San Diego Engagement {Ashley & Brandon}

This was such a hard thing to keep under wraps...I have known Ashley probably for about 4 years. Her mom, Cindy and I are friends and I just love their family! Ashley is an amazing young woman...smart, beautiful and determined! A few months ago...this wonderful man came into her life! He's the kind of guy that when you talk to him, it's like you've known him forever! And I'm so glad that these two have found each other! Brandon knew he wanted to propose to Ashley...and I'm so glad he included me on the covert operation. Ashley is just the sweetest thing...She so kindly agreed to be my "model" for a "mentoring shoot" that I was doing...little did she know...That this couple's shoot she was doing for me, would actually turn into her very own engagement shoot...with a surprise proposal thrown in! The scene was set...we set it up for Ocean Beach in San Diego...and the rest is history! I have just a few to share for now...but so many more to follow...

The surprise engagement was fun...but figured we needed a real engagement session...On NYE we headed to the beach and took some pics of these crazy love birds...the lighting was absolutely amazing...loved how they turned out...here are just a few of my favorites...

Spent an amazing day with these two love birds last Saturday...It was so beautiful...Started at the San Diego Temple...then to LaJolla and then finally back to Murrieta for the reception...despite the wind ~ it was a magical lovely day.
